“For the Servantless American (Paleo) Cook.” -Julia Child

This is my  Central California blog dedicated to showcasing local farms, farmers market cooking, and the uniqueness of California agriculture in a Paleo lifestyle, while emphasizing simple, gorgeous foods.

I am a government employee by day, food enthusiast by night. My blog is “for the servantless American (Paleo) cook!” with inspiration from the delightful and indubitable Julia Child.

If I ever took the time to write my own motto, it would go something like this:

My Paleo blog is “for the servantless American cook who can be unconcerned on occasion with budgets, waistlines, time schedules, children’s meals, the parent-chauffeur-den mother syndrome or anything else which might interfere with the enjoyment of producing something wonderful to eat.”
-Julia Child

In other words, EAT ALL THE BUTTER and MEAT and FAT!

Drastically changed my life, habits, and the way I cook for myself and my family. Eating as clean as possible, and enjoying local California and its agriculture in all I do. Bringing the local farmer to my table, one recipe, one crazy idea, and one blog post at a time. I’ll show you how we eat as “close-to-the-earth” as possible, with a mix of Paleo (me), semi-Paleo (hubby and kids), grain-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, raw dairy, and dairy-free fusion, all from my crazy brain and local farmers, farmers markets, and local businesses, as much as possible.

I love food. It’s pretty simple. It’s what first made me fat, then it was what made me lose weight. What you eat, and how you eat it, determines a lot of the aspects of your life. I finally have tuned in to how my body functions and how to make it more efficient. I have a long way to go, but I’m on a roll. I’ve changed my ways and feel amazing. I find great pleasure in creating things that make myself, my family, and others happy. I love to write, cook, bake, craft, design, read, exercise, hike, camp, cycle, garden, and spend time with my family.
