Ever in need of a rescue at dinner time? It happens to me a lot, and quite consistently on Tuesday, at least according to my bank statement. Maybe I need to own stock in Chipotle, but my bank must think I am apart of some kind of strategic taco spending plan they aren’t aware of yet. Rescue meals are easier to come by on Paleo than ever before, but on Whole 30, it can be quit tricky. Chipotle is a safe place, but you’ll still have to tread lightly.
According to a Whole 30 forum moderator, the only compliant ingredients at Chipotle are guacamole, carnitas (pork), and the non-corn salsas. I add lettuce to mine and make it a salad.
I brought mine home last week and added to it to jazz it up a bit. By adding some farm fresh veggies and my Plantain Chips, I made myself a nice plate of alternative Whole 30 Nachos. Yep. Did that just blow your mind? It blew mine last week. So good!
It’s okay to eat out on the Whole 30. Restaurants happen, they are hard to avoid, even on as little as 30 days. Just don’t be afraid to ask questions, be picky, and do your best.
